Alligator products are sourced from Louisiana, where alligators may be harvested under strict laws through public hunts or raised on farms for the meat industry. The American alligator is classified under CITES Appendix II, and trade of American alligator products is legal within all 50 U.S. states. Wild American alligators are also protected by the U.S. Endangered Species Act.
